The Family
Nestled in the peaceful village of Murianette, just a short bus ride from Grenoble, this welcoming family offers international students the opportunity to experience authentic French family life in a beautiful mountain setting.
Faustine is an Italian teacher, while Julien works as an engineer. Together with their two young children, Tristan (6) and Livia (4), they have been welcoming international students for several years and truly enjoy sharing their home with people from around the world.
Curious about other cultures and passionate about languages, the family speaks Italian and Spanish fluently, as well as English. They particularly appreciate cultural exchanges and enjoy helping students discover the French way of life.
Their interests include visiting museums and castles, attending concerts and theatre performances, painting, hiking, swimming, cycling, board games, and creative activities. Music also plays an important role in their home, where several instruments—including piano, guitars and violin—are regularly enjoyed.
The family lives in a spacious detached house with a large garden, a swimming pool and a sunny terrace offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The student’s bedroom is located on the upper floor, providing privacy and a quiet space for studying. The room is furnished with a single bed, a sofa bed, a chest of drawers and a bookcase, while the shared family bathroom is nearby.
The house is ideally located in the centre of Murianette, with a bus stop just outside the door. Grenoble city centre can be reached in only 15–20 minutes by direct bus, while the university campus and CUEF are only 6 minutes away, making daily commuting quick and convenient.
Having hosted international students for over four years, especially in partnership with CUEF, the family understands how important it is for students to feel comfortable, supported and included. They look forward to welcoming students into their home and sharing memorable cultural experiences throughout their stay.
