The Family
Located in the peaceful residential town of Corenc, just a few minutes from Grenoble, this welcoming host family offers international students a warm, friendly and authentic French homestay experience.
Anne is a primary school teacher and Bruno is an architect. They live with their adult daughter, Mariette, who is completing a PhD in literature and speaks English at a C2 level. Their home is also shared with a friendly cat, creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere.
The family has been hosting international students for more than ten years, welcoming young people from many different countries, particularly from the United States and Japan. They genuinely enjoy meeting people from around the world, exchanging ideas and cultures, and helping students feel at home in France.
Their interests include theatre, cinema, exhibitions and the arts. Anne enjoys painting and photography, while Bruno is passionate about DIY projects. They also love cooking, entertaining friends and even hosting small cultural performances at home. Students who stay with them quickly become part of a lively household where conversation and sharing are part of everyday life.
The property features a beautiful garden, a large terrace, a swimming pool and outdoor leisure facilities, offering a peaceful setting in which students can relax after classes. The student’s private bedroom is comfortably furnished with a real single bed that converts into a double bed, a desk, chair, storage furniture and a private bathroom with a bathtub, providing both comfort and privacy.
The house is well connected to Grenoble by public transport. Bus and tram stops are within walking distance, allowing students to reach Grenoble city centre in around 20 minutes and the university campus in approximately 20 minutes as well.
Students staying with Anne and Bruno can expect a genuine cultural immersion, a welcoming family environment and the opportunity to experience everyday French life while enjoying the comfort of a spacious home in one of Grenoble’s most desirable residential areas.
