The Family
Located in the residential town of Corenc, just a few minutes from Grenoble and at the foot of the Chartreuse Mountains, the Michon family offers international students a warm, active and truly authentic French homestay experience.
Stéphane and Emilie live with their four daughters. Stéphane is the Global Head of Business for an international company, while Emilie is a primary school teacher. Their lively family life is filled with laughter, conversation and a genuine interest in meeting people from different cultures.
The family shares a passion for outdoor activities and adventure. They enjoy hiking, skiing, mountaineering, cycling and travelling, as well as scouting, musical theatre and discussions about world affairs and geopolitics. Students staying with them will experience an active family lifestyle while discovering everyday French traditions and culture.
Their spacious house is located in a peaceful neighbourhood on the outskirts of Grenoble, offering exceptional views of the surrounding mountains. Students can enjoy excellent leisure facilities, including a swimming pool, a ping-pong table, a foosball table and tennis courts located just across the street. It is the perfect environment for relaxing after classes or spending time with the family outdoors.
The student is accommodated in a comfortable private bedroom furnished with a single bed, a desk, a bedside table and storage space. A walk-in dressing room is conveniently located opposite the bedroom, and the bathroom is shared with the family.
The location provides excellent access to Grenoble and the university campus. A bus stop is only a five-minute walk from the house, and Grenoble Alpes University in Saint-Martin-d’Hères can be reached in approximately 25 minutes using bus line 18 and Tram B.
